Kathryn (Kate) Wilson

Kathryn Wilson (formerly Kathryn W. Foster). Born in Boston, Massachusetts; admitted to Massachusetts bar, 1990. Education: Cape Cod Community College (A.A. Liberal Arts, 1984); Wellesley College (B.A. Political Science, 1986, cum laude); Harvard Law School (J.D., 1990).

Kate took a position in 1990 with Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP and soon became the trust and estates lawyer for its branch office in Hyannis. In 1994 she joined William K. Mackey and together they formed Mackey & Foster, P.A., a professional association. She is a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association and currently serves as a Director of the Marjot Foundation. She formerly served as the Falmouth Representative to the Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority has also served on the boards of the Woods Hole Foundation, Community Association, Friends of the MBL, and the Woods Hole Yacht Club (former Commodore).

Eileen R. Sprague. A native of Falmouth, Massachusetts; admitted to Massachusetts bar, 2017. Education: Wheaton College (B.A. English Literature, 1980 cum laude); New England Law Boston (J.D., 2016).

Eileen was previously affiliated with Glynn Law Offices in Falmouth where her practice areas included estate planning and real estate. In the spring of 2020 Eileen joined Mackey & Foster, P.A. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Barnstable County Bar Association.

Mari G. Chamberlain

Mari G. Chamberlain. Grew up in Hawaii, Texas, Maryland and Massachusetts as the daughter of an Army officer; admitted to the Massachusetts bar, 2008. Education: Baylor University (B.A., Religion major and Church State Studies minor, 2005, earning honors and top honors, respectively); Regent University School of Law (J.D, 2008).

After graduating from law school, Mari joined Jacobi & Chamberlain, LLP in Lexington, Massachusetts, where she focused on civil litigation and real estate transactions. In 2011 she relocated to Cape Cod and practiced real estate law in Falmouth. In 2014 Mari joined La Tanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, P.C. in Orleans, Massachusetts, as a litigation associate focusing on landlord-tenant law, construction law, debt collection, condominium law and probate litigation. In 2015 Mari established the Law Firm of Mari G. Chamberlain focusing on residential real estate conveyancing and civil litigation. In February 2019 Mari added the role of real estate counsel for Mackey & Foster, P.A. to her practice. She is a member of Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association.

William K. Mackey

(1932 – 2019)

Founding Partner

A big-hearted man of modest demeanor, Bill Mackey deeply valued his day-to-day interactions with his family, friends, clients, colleagues, and community. He graduated from Princeton University in 1954, Harvard Law School in 1959, and then practiced law in Boston, Osterville, and Falmouth. Together with Kathryn Wilson (formerly Kathryn Foster), he established Mackey & Foster, P.A. in 1994. He combined his love of the law and community into his practice, specializing in the areas of tax, estate planning, and trust management. With discretion and integrity, Bill brought honor, wisdom, and gentle humor to the practice of law.

Johanna (Joni) Morse
(1960-2020)

Paralegal

Joni started with Mackey & Foster, P.A. in 1997. She went on to earn her Paralegal certification from Cape Cod Community College.  Joni was an avid Red Sox fan and a devout follower of The New England Patriots. She brought her team player attitude to the office every day and concentrated on probate matters and trust accounting.
